"The Legacy Performance Horses trainer, Stacie, is an excellent trainer for both horse and rider and is very knowledgeable.  My daughter had a serious accident with her horse and we turned to Stacie for help.  Stacie worked with her and her horse, and she had my daughter back up on her horse, safely and eventually showing her horse.  If we didn't find Stacie, we would have sold the horse and my daughter would not be involved the way she is now.  Anyone that wants to learn more about horses and riding, this is the place."

"Three years ago my 5 yr. old AQHA gelding bucked me off on a trail ride and broke my collar bone.  I was determined to sell him, but my husband convinced my to give the horse a second chance so I brought him to Stacie for 30 days of training while I was laid up.  Since then, Stacie has worked with my gelding and me on and off for the past three years at the pace I set (slow...I'm 36 and work very full time!). My horse progresses to win multiple grand championships and reserve grand championships on the local show circuit and has become an exceptionally reliable all around horse, including on trail rides.  I can ride him anywhere, even alone. At 8 years old, he is the horse I have always dreamed of owning and I would not trade him for another.  Stacie has been patient with me and my horse, and has been very willing to work around my hectic schedule to make time for us.  She truly care about and is very dedicated to each of her students/clients.  Thanks Stacie!"

"Legacy Performance Horses is an awesome place to ride.  The teaching you receive is amazing.  Stacie teaches us everything that she can possibly can to help you succeed in the show ring.  She really cares about what you are feeling and takes the time to listen to any thoughts you have.  I really enjoy riding at LPH and I would recommend it to anybody who is looking to better themselves as an equestrian."

"I really did appreciate the lesson, I was much more comfortable around the horses when we loaded then with gear and walked them up the mountain.  What I found most helpful was understanding more about how to "read" the horses behavior.  I gained an appreciation into how they react and how to maintain control when they do the unexpected.  Thanks again for your knowledge and instruction.  It is very obvious you really know your stuff when it comes to horses!"

"Stacie Riehl has been an outstanding teacher to learn from and the facilities at Legacy Performance Horses are first rate.  Her knowledge, skill level and experience with horses made my lessons easy, fun and exciting.  I started lessons as a beginner, wanting to learn how to ride better and understand more about horses and their behaviors.   Four months later, I became a first time horse owner!  Stacie taught me how to work with my horse, and help her in the initial training process of leading, longing and ground driving.  Stacie started my 2 year old under saddle and worked with her so skillfully; I was riding her, with Stacie’s guidance, in just a few weeks.   It has been a very pleasurable experience and I am truly excited and fortunate to continue to learn from Stacie.  The riding and boarding facilities are always clean, inviting and organized; this is truly a great place to be!     Thank you Stacie!"

"About 2 half years ago our daughter showed some interest in horses as her 9th Birthday approached I decided that it was time to see how interested she was so we gave her some lessons with Stacie at Legacy Performance Horses( LPH). Well she is now 11 and still training with Stacie. She came to Stacie knowing nothing about horses, Stacie took the time to show her everything that she needed to become a good and safe rider. Stacie takes the time to listen to your questions and concerns. I had thought that our daughter would not continue with her lessons when she just couldn't get something, but Stacie worked with her until she got it right, she encouraged her to work hard and that she would get it if she worked hard at it. Every time she rides she learns something new and working hard under Stacie's guidance and direction she has come along way with her training. Our daughter is now showing one of Stacie's horses that she has for lease and is winning classes in her age group as well as some larger all age classes. She is having the time of her life right now and Stacie is helping her fulfill her dreams. Our daughter is doing things I have only dreamed about. Now spending more time with her out at the barn our relationship as Mother and Daughter has grown into a great friendship. She has more confidence in her self and is turning into a fine young lady. THANK YOU STACIE !!!"

Receiving complements in today’s world is more difficult than ever, normally people are more likely to complain the complement.  As a professional in the world of customer support I know this all too well.  So it is my great pleasure and without reservation I would like to acknowledge my gratitude to Legacy Performance Horses and specifically Stacie for a job well done.
I am not a horse person and never professed to be as my true passion is Sporting Dogs.  Since my pursuits in the dog world require a well behaved horse that is capable of handing many distractions such as other horses, loose dogs running under and around your horse, birds flushing from under foot and gunshot to name a few it is critical to have a horse that is predictable, controllable and well behaved.
I contacted Stacie to arrange training and have her correct some dominance issue as well as a laundry list of other items that I had.  Honestly, I was unsure if the problems could be corrected and fully expected I may have to ship my horse rather than risk injury to my other horses, dogs, family or myself.  Stacie said she would like to give him a try and see if she could correct his “naughty behavior”, so off he went.  To my surprise what came back after training was a well behaved, respectful and very manageable companion.
I can say without a shadow of a doubt that I personally recommend Stacie and Legacy Performance Horses.  Thank you!!

Finding Stacie is truly finding a diamond in the rough. I had been at a couple different boarding stables and was prepared to leave the horse world. I wanted to learn more and get into showing but no one would help and I figured it was never going to be my calling. Not wanting to give up I found Stacie, started lessons again (nine years later), and ended up with a young show horse that I have been able to help work with! Now, my little guy is in training and I have never felt more satisfied about an equine partnership. Stacie has worked with me and  has me on my way to do something I thought I could never do. She paired me up with an unbelievable animal that seems to fit perfectly in my life and I cannot thank her enough. Thank you for pushing me to go above and beyond what I expected. I could not have ever done any of this without Stacie Riehl!

Legacy Performance Horses is the place to be if you want to learn.  It doesn't matter if you are completely inexperienced.  Stacie is such an incredible trainer.  Her first priority is always safety.  No matter what your level of experience,  you and your horse will be asked to challenge yourselves to take it to the next level, safely and successfully.
Thank you, Stacie, for helping us make a horse-crazy dream come true. In a short time, Jayna and I feel like we are part of a family.

I took my horse Tigger (7 yrs old) to Stacie as a last resort, after having two failed training attempts by other trainers. I first sent my horse to a trainer as a 3 year old and while he seemed to be pretty good while at the trainers it was a whole other story once I took him home and started riding him. He knew how to go straight and that was about it. He was also really spooky and not confident at all which resulted in my getting tossed a few months after his training. I lost quit a bit of confidence in him after some other episodes and decided to try another trainer. While this trainer did help me to get my confidence back, my horse still didn't know much. The following year I took some lessons with him and went on a few trail rides but he still wasn't the horse I wanted. My horse didn't like to pay attention to me and had some bad habits that needed to be worked through. This year I finally had enough and started looking for yet another trainer.
I showed in the county fair with some girls who had their horses trained by Stacie and I really liked the training that was done on the horses. I figured that I might as well put some more training into my horse because I really don't think I could ever part with this particular horse, and that is when I contacted Stacie to put my horse into training for the 3rd time. I had only planned on having my horse in training for a month but once that first 30 days was over I new I had to keep him there for a little longer to get him where I needed him to be. I learned what to do when he doesn't have his attention on me and how to correct different things that would come up during lessons and while watching Stacie ride him. I have to say that I have a completely different horse since Stacie has worked with him and I can now enjoy riding him without having to worry that he will buck or spook.
Stacie took a lot of time to work with my horse and me and found times during the day that would work for me to be able to watch her train my horse so I could also learn. I have become a better rider and my horse has become a better riding partner. I hope that no one else ever has to go through three trainers to get the horse they want and so I highly recommend Stacie Riehl. Whether you want to just ride the trails or compete in world shows, Stacie can get you there.
Thank you so much,
Anna & Tigger
