St. Louis’ Major League Soccer (MLS) expansion team St Louis CITY SC has checked another major stadium milestone off the list, with the construction crew installing the first of 22,500 seats in Centene Stadium.

With the first seat going in, the seat installation process has officially begun on the lower bowl section of the stadium, with the upper bowl seating installation beginning in early May and premium seating installation to follow in mid-May.

The stadium bowl seats will vary in color, highlighting a mix of CITY Red, River Blue, and Arch Gray seat design and colors. The seat design and colors will contribute to the overall stadium aesthetics as they reflect the main colors of the team’s crest and logo.

This is a major step towards completion, with just a few months left in construction of St. Louis’ state-of-the-art, soccer-specific stadium. Upcoming stadium milestones include installing sod on the field, completing the metal panel canopy, and wrapping up interior finishes in the stadium. Construction is still on track to be completed by late summer 2022.
